The Earth Harmony™ program is specifically designed to introduce the natural world
to our children in a fun, scientific and culturally meaningful way:
to encourage curiosity and promote integrated learning.

FALL - After School Sessions for 1-2 and 3-4 grades - Fall sessions to be announced August 1st. School sites: Bacich and Neil Cummins.

A wide variety of Science curriculum featuring demonstrations and hands on projects on topics ranging from Dinosaurs to Kitchen Chemistry, to Crime Scene Detective, and beyond!

Summer School Program 2011 -
Completed. 120 kids taught in 4 weeks of Summer School! June/July through the Ross Valley School District and the Larkspur Park and Rec department.

CLASS RESOURCES for Earth Harmony™- Science for Kids! (Amazing Science)

• Animal tracking and how to plaster cast a track in the field.

• The geology of gold prospecting...and how to pan for gold.

• How are tornados made? Experiments with a tornado / vortex generator.

• Electronics - basics of electricity, learn how to make different kinds of circuits, practice on kid safe "Snap Kits".

• Crime Scene and Forensic investigation techniques: use real fingerprinting kits, UV lights and flourescent powders for tracing thieves, solve crime puzzles.

• Archaeology / Paleontology - basics of science, history and dig methodology. Take home whatever you find at the dig site!

Elena Belsky, WPN Director, is a longtime environmental educator, scientist and artist; she has been teaching children and adults in a wide variety of subjects for over 28 years.

Workshops have included: the Point Reyes National Seashore, Marin Museum of the American Indian, The Discovery Museum, Marin Conservation Corps, International Archeological Conference, and throughout Marin elementary schools.

We are in our 10th year of providing Earth Harmony™- Science for Kids! classes for the Larkspur Park and Recreation / Ross Valley Summer School.
